I have written many short tales. This Page will share some of them. If there is any interest they may be collected into a print book from Corrigans Basement Productions!
The Princess and the new Prince
Once upon a time there lived a Princess alone in her castle.
She was very beautiful and very smart, yet she was content to liver alone. Actually, she was quite content. In fact, she was so very happy that she told herself repeatedly that her life was wonderful.
One summer day a handsome Prince moved into the castle that was located across from the Princess’s moat.
“Hmm” the Princess wondered, “What is such a handsome man living alone in that castle? He must either be gay or a jerk I would suppose.”
The Princess and the Prince lived across from each other for a while. They didn’t really speak to each other but there were mutual niceties displayed to each other from each other.
One day the Prince fell ill and had what he called an incident. He became very worried and embarrassed. Now, during this moment of weakness on the Prince’s part the Princess traveled across her treacherous moat and was very kind to the Prince and helped him through his trial that day.
The Prince didn’t forget the Princess’s kindness. He thought to himself, “This Princess is a very special lady. I bet that underneath that aloof facade lies a warm and wonderful heart. I think that I would like to know her better.” And the Princess didn’t leave his thoughts for a while.
One day, the Prince decided to surprise the Princess with a token of romance. He was nervous but he felt that in his heart the Princess was someone he wanted to get to know. So, he approached the front steps of her castle and showered the walkway with rose petals.
He watched the Princess’s castle from his own and waited until the Princess arrived back home from her shopping expedition. Although he was very excited about it what she did next shocked him.
When the Princess saw the rose petals she became very agitated. She proceeded to squat down and urinate on all of the rose petals. She then rode over to the Prince and dragged him by his earlobe over to the entrance to her castle.
Now, keep in mind, that the Prince was very tall and the Princess was very petite. So, she had to wear enormous heels in order to reach the Prince’s ears. As she pulled the Prince’s earlobe down she showed the Prince the soiled rose petals.
“See Here! The next time you make a mess in front of my castle those rose petals will be in your insolent face! Never disturb or soil the front of my castle without my knowledge again! Now, begone with your foolishness!”
The Princess scooped up the soiled petals and threw them at the Prince’s face. The Prince bent down to clean up the remainder of the petals and sulked off towards his castle dejectedly but not before he noticed a smirk on the Princess’s face ever so quickly.
“So, the Princess does like me” he mused. “But obviously not enough to show it yet. I will show her, urine or no urine, I will show her who the best Prince in the Kingdom is.”
And, with that the Prince made his way into his castle to ponder over the Princess.
To be continued…

The Princess and the Flower
On a fine spring day Princess Dee was out in her field of gardens. The princess was very busy doing princess things.
She began to smell her flowers and thought about how important she was and how everyone loved her.
As she leaned over to smell another flower she suddenly heard a small voice.
“Hello” the voice said, “Is there anyone out there?” The Princess looked around. She couldn’t see anyone so she thought it was her imagination and went about her business.
“Hello” a voice said again. “Is anyone out there?” Now, the Princess stopped. “It’s coming from the flower” she thought. “Hello” Dee said. “Hello! there is someone there!” the voice said excitedly. Dee replied, “Are you in the flower?” “Yes! Yes!” the voice said. “A wicked witch cast a spell on me and made me so tiny that I live in this flower!”
Princess Dee looked down at the flower. “I don’t know how to break the spell she said to the voice in the flower.
“Oh, Please, please. I have been here for what seems to be a very long time.” the voice continued. “My name is Tom, will you help me?”
Dee looked at the flower and thought a bit. She then took the flower and plucked it from the ground.
“Well, this is your lucky day” Dee said. “I will help you!”
“Oh, thank you so much!” the voice said elatedly.
The princess took the flower in her hand, and placed it on the ground. She then sat on it and wriggled her butt so the flower was crushed into the ground.
The Princess smiled wide. “There, Now you’re out of your misery little voice. And, besides, I knew a Tom once. I never did like him” And with that the princess went back to whistling happily and smiling as she sat in her field.
The End.
