Buffalo Screams Horror Film Festival

Heads up to the nice job at the Buffalo Screams festival.  A lot of fun films and people in attendance.

Big kudos to the winners especially Community Service: The Movie and A Private Place.  As for your humble web host, well, let’s just say that it’ s kind of hard to beat the Local Hero Award winner when he’s up for another award. The fix was in.

I have to admit, it was fun playing in the amateurs’ sandbox but, time to move on!

Congrats again to all!

NYCC

Back from the New York Comic Con 2012!

Wow, some great costumes, great guests, but, for this old man, way too many people!

A big thumbs down to the Simon & Shuster booth. They displayed books but weren’t selling them. What gives? Do us all a favor next time: Go waste someone else’s time and don’t display at our con!

A big thumbs up to David Quinn and Tim Vigil.  After all these years they are finishing up their Faust Saga!

The con was a lot of fun. Young Maxx O’Fletcher had a good time AND his Captain Cold Goggles signed by Geoff Johns, Francis Manapul and Brian Buccellato!

Till Next Time!

Congratulations!

Congratulations to Emil and his Buffalo Comic Con yesterday!

The crowd was great, the kids were all dressed in costume and it looked like everyone was having a great time.  I’ve been to quite a few of the Buffalo Comic Cons and I have to tell you this was the best I’ve seen.

Congratulations again, it couldn’t happen to a better guy!

Kurt Andrew’s Show

Attended the latest show by Kurt Andrew last night at the Bug Jar.

Kurt’s music has evolved and we heard some definite NIN strains coming from his new songs. Great stuff.  In addition, Kurt was energetic and engaging in his performance.  Check out his shows sometime.  You won’t be disappointed (except for surviving through the other acts.)

In addition to being a musical artist Kurt is also a creative visual artist.

Dennis Has been a busy Professor

Today Dennis has been quite busy.

On his spinner rack is his take on the Omac series by John Byrne.

And, in his corner is another old editorial he wishes to inflict upon us.

Relax professor and smoke your pipe!

New News

My full length Horror Film Script, ‘Rosary’, has been selected as a finalist in the Buffalo Screams Horror Film Festival!

‘Rosary’ is a script done in the classic 1970s style of horror films.

If you have never attended the Buffalo Screams Horror Film Festival you’re missing out on one of the best regional film fests in the country!

A festival by and for the people of Western New York the BSHFF screens films from around the world and from local talent.  Founded by one of my good friends, Emil Novak (himself a businessman and film maker/producer/writer/cameraman, etc…) the festival showcases creators and their works.

Do yourself a favor and check them out: http://www.buffaloscreams.com

If you get a chance to attend have fun. But, even if you don’t, keep your fingers crossed for ‘Rosary’!

Hello Everyone

Welcome to my site. On here there will be available news, information and commentaries by Ed.

Also available will be samples of recent projects and publications. Each project will have a separate page on the site.

I own arguably one of the largest collections of comic book/comic character paraphernalia in the country. The comics range from 1942 to present day. In addition to the comics there is also a slowly amassing collection of pulps and pulp paperbacks.

Recently one of my scripts has been chosen as a finalist in the Buffalo Screams full length feature category.

My first pulp collection will be published by Pro-Se Press shortly featuring John Hasard.

Thank you for visiting and bear with me. This is still rather new to me!
